Building Banking Technology Talent

The Facilization Academy successfully completed its inaugural Internship Consultant and Internship Developer Programmes between 20 May and 23 June 2026, delivering five weeks of intensive, practitioner-led learning focused on real banking technology challenges.

From 527 applications, only 31 participants were selected through a rigorous multi-stage assessment process. Today, 16 graduates have already secured employment opportunities, demonstrating the impact of practical, industry-driven education.

My name is Klea Laro, and my journey with Facilization started in May, when I joined the Facilization Academy as an intern. What started as an opportunity to learn and gain experience quickly became an important part of my professional journey. I started my internship as a Consultant, where I had the opportunity to work with Oracle FLEXCUBE and gain hands-on experience in a real professional environment. During the internship, I learned a lot from the people around me, worked on real challenges, and got a much better understanding of how banking systems and technology come together. It was an experience that pushed me to learn quickly, take responsibility, and become more confident in my technical skills. What I appreciate most is that the internship didn't just end as an internship. It gave me the opportunity to continue my journey with Facilization, and today I am working as a Junior Database Administrator within the company. I'm grateful to everyone at Facilization Academy who contributed to my learning and growth along the way. Starting as an intern and now being part of the team is something I'm really proud of, and I'm looking forward to everything that comes next.

When I was later offered a full-time position, the knowledge I gained during the internship helped me adapt quickly during the onboarding process, as I already had a good understanding of the system and the work involved. The experience also helped me develop my problem-solving, communication, and consulting skills while gradually taking on more responsibilities. Overall, the internship gave me a strong foundation for starting my career at Facilization.

My internship experience for the Functional Consultant role was a really good opportunity to learn and get familiar with the role and the company. I really enjoyed the interactive part of the experience, as it gave me the chance to ask questions, work on different tasks, and understand the role.

It was also a great chance to meet and connect with experienced employees from different teams who shared their knowledge, experience, and real examples with us. The whole experience felt very welcoming and gave me a good idea of what working in this field is like. After completing the internship, I had the opportunity to join the team as a Junior Functional Consultant. Even after starting the job, the transition felt very natural because the internship had prepared us very well for what to expect and what the role would involve. The work was in line with what we had learned and experienced during the internship, so there were no major surprises, and I felt much more prepared from the start.
